1. Sarakiniko
Sarakiniko is one of the main reasons people visit the island of Milos. The white rock formation gives you the impression you’re walking on the moon.
This beach is an amazing place to watch the sunset, but it becomes even more magical during sunrise. Definitely worth the early wake up call.

2. Klima Village
This colourful fishing village is located just outside Plaka, the capital of Milos. Klima becomes especially beautiful during sunset when the surroundings and vibes give you goosebumps right away.
Right at the beachfront, you’ll find Astakas Restaurant – one of my favourite restaurants on the island. The seafood was devine, the service more than excellent and I’m still daydreaming of the views. If you want to have a table at the front line, a reservation is recommended.

3. Papafragas Caves
The next impressive spot on the list is Papafragas Caves. This must-see place is located on the Northern coastline of the island. If you’re driving to or from Pollonia, you’ll catch the caves on the side of the road. There is a (free) parking lot in front of the caves as well as a bus stop.
The area itself is small and without a break for swimming, you don’t need more than 30 minutes here.

4. Fourkovouni Village
This small fishing village is a bit off the beaten path due to its tricky accessibility, but is absolutely worth your time. Explore Fourkovouni first thing in the morning and you’ll probably be the only one there.
Tip: park your vehicle at Plathiena Beach (free parking) and continue by foot.

5. Tsigrado Beach
This small, but stunning beach is well-known in Milos because it’s so secluded and difficult/adventurous to reach.
You basically climb a ladder, continue via a narrow path and climb a second ladder. It’s actually really fun and also very rewarding when you reach the water! A must-visit when in Milos!

6. Fyriplaka beach
If you’re looking for a relaxing day at the beach, Fyriplaka beach is a great place to head to. You can rent beach chairs here or just relax at the public beach. The water is like butter here.
Tsigrado beach is located 5-10 minutes (by foot) from Fyriplaka beach, it’s great to combine these two beaches during your visit. Both spots can be reached by bus.

7. Kleftiko
Aside from Sarakiniko, the main reason people visit Milos is for this former pirate hide out: Kleftiko. These stunning rock formations combined with the bluest waters you’ve ever seen, will be the highlight of your trip.
Note that Kleftiko is only accessible by water. I did a sailing day trip with Polco Sailing and would totally recommend them!
…
8. Mandrakia Village
The small fishing village of Mandrakia was one of the most quiet places I’ve visited in Milos. You’ll find a small colourful port that is so picturesque, almost like a painting!
There’s only one restaurant here: Medusa Milos. It’s located on the waterline and looks absolutely adorable.
…
9. Firopotamos Beach
This area in Milos is postcard perfect! Firopotamos is not only a place to relax at the beach or admire the small fishing village, but you can also book your hotel/Airbnb here. Note that these spots are limited so booking in advance is necessary.
This beach can’t be reached by public transportation. You need your own vehicle, free parking is available.
…
10. Pollonia Village
Pollonia is located at the North East tip of the island and is a great area to book your accommodation. If you stay elsewhere in Milos, you must visit Pollonia at lease once.
This place offers stunning beaches with easy access to the water. It has close proximity to many restaurants with a sea view and the village itself is so charming with picturesque spots at every corner.
