The island of Milos is one of my favourite islands in Greece. I visited two times already and with those travel experiences, I created the perfect itinerary for you. Here is the best way to spend a week in Milos, Greece.
DAY 1
Today is your first day on this stunning island. Let’s start by exploring the area you’re staying at. Whether it’s Plaka, Pollonia, Adamas or somewhere else, settle in your hotel, grab dinner and get ready for an epic week!

DAY 2
We’re starting off strong! Today is your sailing trip around the island and to one of the most stunning spots: Kleftiko. I recommend booking one to two weeks in advance to secure your spot (definitely in high season).
This will be the highlight of your trip. Try to plan your sailing trip at the beginning of your stay: if the tour is cancelled due to bad weather, you still have the time flexibility to reschedule.
Most daytrips start around 9AM and end between 5PM to 7PM. You will be exhausted afterwards (but so worth it), so take the evening easy.

DAY 3
Yesterday was busy! Today will be more relaxing. Pick up your rental vehicle (car, ATV or motorcycle) and drive to the South of the island.
FIRST STOP: Tsigrado Beach
This small, but stunning beach is well-known in Milos because it’s so secluded and difficult/adventurous to reach. You basically climb a ladder, continue via a narrow path and climb a second ladder. When you get down, enjoy the surroundings, swim snorkel & relax before heading to the next beach.
SECOND STOP: Fyriplaka beach
If you’re looking for a relaxing day at the beach, Fyriplaka beach is a great place to head to. You can rent beach chairs here or just relax at the public beach. Spend the rest of your day here – this is one of the best beaches in Milos.
End your night with dinner in Adamas, Pollonia or Tripiti. Get to bed early because tomorrow is an exciting day!

DAY 4
Rise and shine! Today you’re going on a sunrise mission. Drive to Milos’s highlight: Sarakiniko. Make sure to arrive before the sun rises so you can admire the full sunrise. It really is worth the early wake-up call – trust me.
After sunrise, find a spot to chill for the upcoming hours to enjoy the water and the surroundings. In high season, it will already be warm enough for a swim this early. Feeling adventurous? Try cliff jumping at the most picturesque spot of Sarakiniko.
…
Hop in your vehicle and continue to Mandrakia village for lunch. There is only one restaurant here, Medusa Restaurant, which is located on the waterline and just looks so adorable.
After lunch, find a secluded swimming spot by walking the opposite side (east), from Medusa restaurant and Mandrakia beach. There is a very small harbour with a ladder to access the water, it’s so peaceful here!
…
Head over to Klima village before the sun sets. This colourful fishing village is so charming and is a must-visit! Spend some time wandering around and enjoy this unique place.
Head to Astakas Restaurant for dinner. Located right at the waterline, this restaurant is one of my favourites on the island. If you want to have a table at the front line, a reservation is recommended.
…
DAY 5
Today we’re heading to the Northern coastline of the island.
FIRST STOP: Papafragas Caves
These eye-catching caves of Papafragas are very accessible: there is a parking lot and a bus station. The area itself is not too big but very impressive. You’ll find a beach area as well. Soak up the stunning surroundings before heading to the next stop.
…
SECOND STOP: Pollonia
A short drive away you’ll find Pollonia village. This place offers stunning beaches with easy access to the water. Spend a day at the beach and finish your night at one of the many restaurants with a sea view.
…
DAY 6
Rise and shine: today we’re heading to Fourkovouni fishing village. One of the most peaceful and beautiful spots on the island.
You’ll need your own vehicle to reach this side of Milos. It’s best to park at Plathiena Beach (free parking) and continue by foot. Explore Fourkovouni first thing in the morning and you’ll probably be the only one there.
…
Head back to Plathiena beach and spend a few hours here to relax, swim and snorkel. You have to option to rent sunbeds and enjoy some drinks & snacks.
Next stop on the list is Firopotamos fishing port. This area in Milos is postcard perfect. Admire the small port and nearby church. If you’re in for another swim, head to the beach area of Firopotamos.
…
Finish your night at Plaka Castle for an incredible sunset. It’s a bit of a hike but the views are totally worth it. Or if today was too busy, go to Utopia Café instead. You’ll have the same views as Plaka Castle with a more relaxing setting. Tip: arrive before opening time to have a front row seat.
