1. Cloud 9
Kicking off with Siargao’s icon: Cloud 9.
This beach strip is located in General Luna and is very popular for surfing & watching the sunset. There is a boardwalk over the water to enjoy an even better view. The entrance is 100 PHP.
Super Typhoon Odette totally destroyed the boardwalk (and way more obviously) back in 2021. Two months after they started the rebuild, however, the new version is way smaller than the original one.

2. Coconut Hill
Let’s hop on the scooter and take a 30-minute drive from General Luna to Coconut Hill. This place offers epic views over thousands of palm trees. You’ll cross this spot on your way to Maasin River (see must-visit place 4.). The entrance is totally free.

3. Guyam Island
Siargao is a great place to visit if you like to island hop. One of the islands that is really close to Siargao is Guyam Island. This round sandbank is ideal for swimming, relaxing and flying the drone! The Philippines in general is a dream as a drone pilot.

4. Maasin River
Another icon on Siargao Island is the bent palm tree over Maasin River. The tree used to have a rope swing until it collapsed in February 2023. Now there is a jumping board and the place still has a nice vibe. The entrance is 20 PHP.

5. Secret Beach
Secret Beach is a private beach area that can be accessed via an organised group trip. This secuded area filled with palm trees is located next to the mangroves which makes for a cool drone shot!

6. Coconut Road
Next up is Coconut Road. This spot is easy to recognise because of the palm trees lined up on both sides of the road. It’s located between Maasin River & Coconut viewpoint.
…
7. Naked Island
Naked Island is one of the most popular spots to visit from Siargao mainland. The island can be reached by boat and is part of “Tour A” where you’ll visit Daku Island and Guyam Island as well.
Fun fact: Siargao gained lots of European & Australian tourists during the closure of Boracay in 2018. The island has developed much since and is now very popular for surfing, island hopping and its ‘Bali-vibes’. During that time, they changed the name of one sole island: Naked Island (Pansukian Sandbar). Obviously to make it more catchy and it has worked really well as this is one of the more visited island in the area!
…
8. Daku Island
Daku Island is a slightly bigger island compared to the other islands close to Siargao mainland. It’s a classic stop during a boat trip to have lunch. There is an incredible beach area filled with palm trees and a lot of local kids are running around.
Enjoy a coconut, go for a swim and admire this beautiful island.

9. Tak Tak Falls
Last on the list: Tak Tak Falls. This waterfall is located in the North of the island and is a great spot to cool down. Not as impressive as Bali waterfalls, but definitely a must-visit if you’re staying up in the area.
