The Philippines offers more than 9000 islands. When planning your trip to this beautiful country, it can be tricky to create your ultimate route. Also know that it’s not easy to get from one island to another. Most likely it will include a flight, ferry, bus, tricycle, or a mix of them all. If you have limited time, this blogpost is for you! Here is the perfect 10-day itinerary in The Philippines.

DAY 1-3 / Coron
Welcome to paradise! Coron is a quiet little town that is home to the most beautiful lagoons & beaches I’ve ever seen!
With boat tours being the most popular thing to do, I recommend doing at least 2 tours here:
The first one is referred to as the ‘Ultimate Tour’. This one ticks off all the popular spots such as Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake & Twin Lagoon. You can book a shared tour or do a private trip. The latter will allow you to leave earlier so you can avoid the big crowds.
Also: if you’re a drone pilot, this place will be a dream for you!
Let’s explore beaches on day two! You’re gonna hop on another boat to visit some incredible islands: Ditaytayan Island, Malcapuya Island & Bulog Dos Island. This particular tour is called the ‘Island Escapade Tour’.
Finish your day by climbing Mount Papyas during sunset for a 360-view of Coron. Note: it takes over 700 steps to reach the top and it’s best to do this during sunrise or sunset to escape the heat.

DAY 4-6 / The Expedition
Let’s explore Linapacan on the way to El Nido via the so-called “Expedition“. This is a 3 day-2 night adventure you must experience once in your life!
The itinerary consists of visiting secluded beaches, observing the underwater world at pristine snorkel spots and spending 2 nights on a beachfront camp!
Note that you can sail from Coron to El Nido or vice versa and that this is an off-grid adventure with little to no electricity or WiFi/mobile connection.
Multiple companies offer ‘The Expedition”. I went with Keeloma and would totally recommend them!

DAY 7-10 / El Nido
The vibrant town of El Nido is filled with restaurants & bars. It’s especially popular with backpackers because of its fun nightlife.
However, this is more than a party place. El Nido offers some incredible boat trips. Make sure to book a tour where you visit: Big Lagoon, Secret Lagoon & Small Lagoon.
Unlike Coron, El Nido has a wide range of beautiful beaches nearby, definitely check out: Nacpan Beach, Las Cabanas & Corong Corong Beach.
On your final day: fly out to your next destination. El Nido has a domestic airport, however, flights can be very expensive here. It might be worth to look into the airport of Puerto Princesa, which is a 3-4 hours drive from El Nido.
