Paris, the city of love… Paris is one of my favourite destinations in Europe. There is just something special about the city that makes me want to go back time and time again. I was fortunate enough to visit Paris for the 6th time this year (2022), so let me share the most Instagrammable photo spots in Paris!
Don’t miss out on these spots if you like taking pictures with a beautiful scenery or just want to enjoy the surrounding.
1. Wall of Love – Montmartre
This (photo) spot was a new discovery during my last visit to Paris (May 2022). The Wall of Love is located in Montmartre and was created by two artists: Frederic Baron and Claire Kito. This piece of art features 312 sentences that express the message “I love you”. As I’m a romantic myself, this art work warms my heart.
Not only is it an amazing photo spot, it’s also very fun to read some of the sentences.
Location: Square Jehan Rictus, Place des Abbesses, 75018 Paris. The closest metro station is Abbesses (metro line 12).

2. Arc de Triomphe
Together with the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe is one of the monuments that comes to mind when thinking of Paris. This spectacular construction is located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The roundabout is known to be one of the craziest in all of Europe and speaking from experience: this is true.
You can take pictures in front of the Arc de Triomphe or head over to one of the side streets for a less crowded spot.
Location: Avenue D’Iéna, 75018 Paris, located closely to Sir Winston restaurant.

3. La Maison Rose – Montmartre
La Maison Rose is located in one of the most picturesque areas in Paris: Montmartre. The restaurant makes for a cute corner and is definitely a place you want to pass by.
If you want to take some pictures, come early (like 8-9AM). This place can get super busy during the day.
Location: 2 Rue de l’Abreuvoir, 75018 Paris

4. The Louvre Museum
Next photo spot on the list: the Louvre. The outside area of the Louvre is a piece of art itself. Take a seat, set your camera at a lower angel and you’ll have a great shot, guaranteed!
It also makes for a nice place to chill and hang out for a little bit. If you want to go inside the Louvre, I advise booking your tickets in advance (skip the line), since the queue can get crazy long.
Location: 99 rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris

5. Palais Royal
Just a few steps away from the Louvre, you’ll find Palais Royal. During my first 4 trips to Paris, I constantly skipped this place and I feel like many people do.
But I’m here to tell you: don’t miss out on this beautiful spot. This building complex, in a classicist style, is very eye-pleasing and makes for a great opportunity to take some creative pictures.
Location: 8 Rue de Montpensier, 75001 Paris

6. Viewpoint at the steps of the Sacré-Cœur
Head over to the Sacré-Cœur, go down the stairs and enjoy a panoramic view of Paris. This place offers a spectacular view every moment of the day, but it’s exceptionally beautiful during sunset. Keeping it real: you won’t be alone since this is a very popular place to watch the sunset.
If you want to enjoy these splendid sights without a huge crowd, I’d recommend coming here first thing in the morning.
Location: 35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, 75018 Paris

7. Rue De L’Université
Last but not least: no Paris trip is complete without a shot of the Eiffel Tower. I just love to admire it from different perspectives & view points.
There are many places where you can take some pictures with the Eiffel Tower in the back. During my last visit to Paris, Rue de l’Université became my favourite photo spot. Definitely an Instagram-worthy location.
Location: Note that Rue de l’Université is a long street. You’ll find the photo spot on the crossing between Rue de l’Université and Avenue de la Bourdonnais
