10 PHOTO SPOTS IN CENTRAL PARK – NYC

Visiting Central Park is a must-do when you’re in NYC. During my visit, this was actually my favourite place in all of New York. Get inspired by these stunning spots!  CHECK OUT THE MAP AT THE END. Tip! I recommend hiring a bicycle and explore Central Park by bike.

1. The Rock Lookout – ESSEX HOUSE 

Let’s kick of with one of my favourite (photo) spots in Central Park: The Rock lookout located on the South end of Central Park. This rock formation is great for taking pictures and chilling. You can easily climb the rock, but be careful when going down!

2. Oak Bridge 

The Oak Bridge is an ideal spot to enjoy the surrounding scenery and take a few shots. If you don’t like taking pictures in front of a crowd, this one will be ideal for you. Already curious to know where the Oak Bridge it located? Check out the map at the end.

3. The Mall

The Mall in Central Park is featured in many movies and series and is a steal for the eye. Especially during Autumn, this place is pure Fall magic.

4. Bow Bridge

The Bow Bridge is situated in the middle of Central Park. This spot is so iconic, you can’t miss out! Since it’s very popular, chances are there will be a crowd. But even a crowd can’t ruin this romantic spot.

5. Viewpoint of the Bow Bridge 

Taking pictures at the Bow Bridge will definitely be a success, but don’t miss out on this stunning viewpoint!

6. The Wollman Skating Rink (seasonal) 

If you’re in New York in the months of November to March/April, you definitely want to head over to the ice skating rink. It not only makes a great photo but it’s so much fun as well! This ended up being being my favourite activity during my NYC visit.

7. Shakespeare garden 

The Entrance of the Shakespeare garden is more of a ‘hidden’ photo spot in Central Park. Nevertheless, it’s stunning! I felt like I was in a fairytale – this spot was so magical. Already curious to know where this spot it located? Check out the map at the end.

8. The Central Park Lake – Hernshead Rocks 

It’s a little tricky to get to this viewpoint, but you won’t regret it. The surroundings at the Hernshead Rocks are just stunning and the atmosphere is more quiet as well. I’d also recommend this spot for a picknick or just to relax.

9. Jacqueline Onassis Reservoir 

This (photo)spot in Central Park is located near the Guggenheim Museum and is more secluded. You won’t find the big crowds here and it’s an absolutely stunning viewpoint.

10. Grass field near Wollman Rink

Last but not least, the grass field near the Wollman Rink. This area makes for a great photo and an ideal picknick spot!
